How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Mumbai with Tide Tribe?
A private two-hour sail costs from ₹5,000 to ₹1,35,000, depending on the yacht: XS63 ₹5,000 (up to 6 guests); J24 ₹6,000 (up to 5 guests); Sirius Fareast ₹9,000 (up to 8 guests); Plavaka ₹10,000 (up to 8 guests); Nava Sun Odyssey ₹18,000 (up to 14 guests); Princess 61 ₹60,000 (up to 20 guests); Bhadrakali ₹1,35,000 (up to 50 guests). The price is for the whole yacht, not per person.
Is the yacht private?
Yes. Every sail is a private charter, so the yacht is only for your group.
Which yacht should I choose for my group size?
For up to 6 guests: XS63 or J24 (up to 5). For up to 8: Sirius Fareast or Plavaka. For up to 14: Nava Sun Odyssey. For up to 20: Princess 61. For up to 50: Bhadrakali.
What time is sunset on the sunset sail?
Sunset at the Gateway of India falls between about 6:05 PM (December) and 7:20 PM (June), so it always happens during the 6 to 8 PM sail.
Can we celebrate a birthday, anniversary or proposal on the yacht?
Yes. Simple celebration decor is included on every sail. Choose the occasion when you book, and add requests such as a cake or extra decor in the special requests box or on WhatsApp at +91 91364 63663.
Do I pay when I book online?
No. Nothing is charged when you send a booking request. Our team checks the yacht is free and confirms on WhatsApp. Payment is by UPI, and the payment QR code is shared on WhatsApp after you speak to us.
Is a yacht ride safe for children?
There are life jackets for everyone on board, including kids' sizes, and every boat has a sailor on board.
How long is a sail, and where does it start?
Every sail is a private two-hour charter from the Gateway of India, Mumbai.
How are the two hours spent?
About 15 minutes out to the yacht, about 1 hour 30 minutes of sailing past the Gateway of India, Prongs Lighthouse, Oyster Rock and Sunk Rock, with Middle Ground seen from a distance, then about 15 minutes back to the jetty.
Where do we meet?
Please arrive 15 minutes early at Jetty No. 5, opposite the Taj's main entrance at the Gateway of India. You return to the same jetty after the sail.
Do I need any sailing experience?
No sailing experience is needed. Every boat has a sailor on board.
Are life jackets provided?
Yes. There are life jackets for everyone on board, including kids' sizes.
What should I bring?
A cap is a good idea.
What is included?
Soft drinks and water, music, light snacks and basic celebration decor. Each yacht page lists what is included on that boat.
Can we arrange decor or a cake?
Yes. Decor and cake can be requested in advance. Add them in the special requests box when you book, or tell us on WhatsApp at +91 91364 63663.
What time slots are there?
From October to January, 7 to 9 AM, highly recommended in winter. All year, 12 to 2 PM, 2 to 4 PM, 4 to 6 PM and 6 to 8 PM.
Which slot is best for sunset?
The 6 to 8 PM slot.

What if the weather is not right for sailing?
If we cancel because of the weather, you choose between a full refund or moving your sail to one of the alternative dates we offer. The details are in our refund policy.
